I hope the sun has been shining in your neck of the woods and that you are able to get outside for a quick sec to enjoy it!
I love the feeling of a gorgeous sunny day where I can just relax on the porch while the kids play in the yard. There's no better feeling!
I recently posted a time lapse on my Facebook & Instagram pages to show the simple and fun porch refresh I did, using just a few accessories that cost less than $200. I kept our old furniture and simply added a few pops of color and it made quite the difference!
I started with these two benches, which I purchased a while back for $15 each here.
First, I added some colorful outdoor pillows I picked up at Ross. They were about $12 each so less than $50 for all four.
I layered in some faux potted greenery along with a potted succulent- total $75 (I splurged a little here).
Next up were the dining set cushions which I also scored from Ross for $12 for the pair.
Like my patio benches, this bistro set is an older one I had previously purchased. I can no longer find the link, but I recall picking it up at one of the local hardware stores for no more than $75.
Lastly, I added some string lights, a colorful doormat and a faux boxwood wreath, all together less than $50.
I love how colorful and cozy the space feels. Take a look at the before and after photos- I'm loving the difference!
Hopefully this will inspire you to spruce up the outdoor space you have... even with items you may already have on hand. A little goes a long way and as you can see, you don't have to spend a fortune to do so.
I'm thinking of DIYing some outdoor artwork to hang, but haven't quite figured it out yet. If you have any ideas, I'd love for you to post in the comments below!
